[SkateDC] The Nats like inlines...

I also went to the game tonight, took Metro and found the whole experience to be generally excellent.

The stadium is quite pretty, if a bit windy, and make sure you talk a walk on the water side by the Anacostia.

I cannot believe how different the area is now...construction *everywhere*!

But I'll be going back next when the weather's a little warmer.

Yep, the 600-700 million bucks has been spent, and no amount of grousing is going to undo it. Went to the game tonight and loved it. Rode the bicycle down there; there's nice covered bike parking inside the garage, but not quite the "valet" experience promised on the web site. You park, you lock it with your own lock. (I'd rather DIY anyway.) I certainly wouldn't mind skating to the ballpark.

What's the point to make? There isn't a stadium in the country that allows
people to skate inside during an event. It sounds like the Nats are being
entirely reasonable in encouraging people to skate to games, but leave
skates under seats. Save your rebellious energy for something worth
rebelling against, like the right to skate in streets in general.

And, by the way, every interesting major city in this country except New
Orleans is a baseball town. And most of those cities built their ballparks.
I've been to Nationals Park already and couldn't be happier about it.
